Welcome! I'm James Costello, a 23-year-old sports journalist studying MA Sports Journalism at Liverpool John Moores University, where I'm also working towards my NCTJ accreditation with the goal of achieving a gold-standard qualification.

My Experience
I’m currently the Media and Marketing Officer at Avro FC, where I create content for the women’s and youth teams, helping elevate their online presence.
In addition, I produce content for GetSociable, a website and app that helps young adults discover exciting activities in cities across the UK and Ireland.
I also contribute to MerseysportLive, writing news articles that cover sports across Liverpool and Merseyside.
As the host of an F1 podcast, I handle everything from content creation and idea generation to editing and producing short-form videos for YouTube.
Between 2018 and 2021, I had the opportunity to commentate on Formula 1 E-Sports events, interviewing top drivers like F1 Esports Champions Jarno Opmeer and Brendon Leigh.
